Arkansas Professional Development Registry (PDR)

Arkansas Professional Development Registry (PDR) Instructions

You will need to be assigned a PDR number for the State of Arkansas. If you have previously worked in child care then you might already have a number assigned. Try to do the application and if it says an account already exists, the number provided on the application to see if they can assist you.

Please make sure to set up your password before beginning any online trainings!

Once obtaining a PDR number, write it down and save it in your cell phone as a "contact." You will frequently need this number through out your employment.

This class is the most important and is mandated by the state for all child care workers.

You will use your PDR number to register for this course. Once registering, create an account and take the course.

Every year our staff needs to take 30 hours of approved professional development courses. These are a few websites you can obtain courses from! Upon completion of each course, proof of completion/certificate should be turned in to Management.

Arkansas Professional Development Registry (PDR) - This is Arkansas's website for free in-class and online classes. They also partner with other websites, some of which do require a small registration fee.

Child Care Education Institute (CCEI) - This website requires payment for courses however our Company pays for an annual subscription to allow the courses to be free to you. Ask a Director to assist with providing you a login. Classes are unlimited.

Naptime Academy - These classes are free when you register as an employee of a licensed daycare in Arkansas. These are online classes.

U of A - These are free courses offered online. The courses change annually under 'Guiding Children Successfully' and 'Best Care Connected".

Cox Campus - These are free courses offered online.

Kodo Online - There is a mix of free courses and courses which require payment for registration.

WEBSITES APPROVED FOR REIMBURSEMENT WITH PROOF OF CLASS CERTIFICATE and RECEIPT.

ATI Applebaum Seminars - This website requires payment for registration of both in-person conferences and online classes.

The Care Courses School Inc. - This website requires payment for registration of online classes.

The Early Childhood Academy - This website requires payment for registration of online classes.

Conscious Discipline - This website requires payment for courses which are typically quite expensive however they do offer free webinars from time to time and have plentiful free resources and printable for the classroom. There are also videos you can watch to increase knowledge for Social-Emotional Development. If you sign up for their newsletters, you will receive notifications.
